Pamela Huizenga Jewelry celebrates and explores textures, colors and imperfections found in gemstones throughout the world.  Within every exquisite piece from her collection lies a carefully balanced blend of colors, textures and shapes, forming a unique and intricate pattern - similar to a mosaic. Pamela's ethos is to respect the natural form and properties of each and every stone, work with imperfections - even 'listen' to the stones throughout the cutting process, in order to achieve the perfect balance.  In essence, she allows the stones themselves to dictate the final design.

As a child, Pamela spent every summer in North Carolina, loving nothing more than collecting buckets of rocks and fossils and visiting gem mines.  Learning the art of stone cutting at only 16 years old, she qualified as a certified lapidarist and had formed a jewelry company by the age of 19.

Now a well-respected rising star on the global stage, with a beautiful fine jewelry collection, Pamela still enjoys being surrounded by amazing gems at her design table and is always searching for new, beautiful, intruiging and inspiring stones to use in her one-of-a-kind designs.

Favorite stones throughout the collection include opals, aquamarine and tourmaline, all set in 18k gold and sterling silver jewelry, (her signature item being chunky stone bracelets.)  The collection also incorporates organic cuts like cabochon and slices and introduces stone varieties, such as fossils and shells.

Jewelry is a symbol of a defining moment, memory, or feeling...  That is what makes it magical.

India Hicks - Vermeil ISLAND LIVING Fine Jewelry Collection

Island Inspiration...

The latest introduction to India Hicks' 'Island Living' fine jewelry, is a curated collection of 18k gold vermeil and diamonds, featuring signature motifs, palm fronds, fish tails, moon phases, bows and arrows.

India Hicks, iconic designer, author, model, entrepreneur, mother of five, British royalty and remarkable talent, is well known for her adventurous and free-spirited sensibility.  The elegant and whimsical pieces that form 'Island Living' are directly inspired by life in the Bahamas - Harbour Island, her home for 18 years.  India has embraced the colors and textures of island's nature, whether it is through diving in the turquoise tropical waters and observing sea creatures, enjoying the pink sandy beaches, studying the local fishermen and moon phases that affect the tides or simply the sights and patterns of the flora and fauna.  These powerful elements of mother nature are reflected by recurring themes in her fine jewelry collection.

VERMEIL is a French word for the combination of gold with a 925 sterling silver base.  Originally a fire gilding process developed in France in the mid-18th century, today vermeil is safely produced by electrolysis.  Vermeil is considerably more durable than simple gold plating that is thin and easily scratches and wears over time.  Vermeil is much thicker and robust as the base is always sterling silver, (plated can be over any metal - commonly copper!)
